Hi ! So I’m in ap language and composition and I’m a junior but next year my senior year, I plan on taking ap literature and ap psychology should I take the ap exams since I want to major in psychology then consueling ?.I’m seventeen and I’m planning to go to either ucla or university of Texas at Austin or Carlow university in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania or University of Miami or Duquesne university.im wondering now how beneficial would it be for me to take the ap exams in those subjects for those colleges . I heard that in ucla ap credits don’t help much.
You should take all the AP tests you can, as long as you feel as though you can pass them. AP classes are huge at all the UCs. Not only do they look good on applications, but the UCs will give you credit for the course if you passed the exam with a 3 or higher. Pass enough AP exams, and you can effectively enter college as a sophomore, meaning one less year you have to pay for tuition. Definitely take AP Psych if you want to major in it. But remember that the only way you can do something in psychology is if you have a grad degree
On an unrelated note, you should probably clean up the grammar of your posts. I hate to be a grammar Nazi, but this is a forum about colleges. There are standards and expectations.
Hopefully I was helpful!
It is not always the case that AP credit will be that helpful in subject credit so that you can graduate early (if you want to do that).

you have a few expensive OOS publics and privates on your list. What have your parents said about how much they’ll pay each year?
