AP Exams?

I'm currently taking AP Biology and AP Government and the only problem I have with this is that it's going to cost me $172 total and next year, I'll be taking 5 AP classes ($400+). I don't like asking my dad for money, especially when we don't have any and the only way to reduce the price is to have free or reduced lunch. I wouldn't be able to receive free and reduced lunch in time to be able to reduce the price of the AP exams. I'm going to get to the point, should I even consider taking the exam? The colleges I want to apply to (Georgetown, UChicago, and Notre Dame) don't consider AP Exams too well in terms of giving credit. I feel as though they're a waste of money and these colleges I'm applying to don't even ask for AP Exams for apps or at least I think they don't. Thanks.

Doesn't your HS have a program where you can take the AP exam for free or at least for a reduced price? Ask a counselor....

If your family doesn't have any money, then you should be able to qualify for free/reduced lunch, which would automatically qualify you for a fee waiver.

AP Exams are a comprehensive way of measuring your knowledge within a discipline, and colleges certainly look at your AP scores! Also, U of C does award AP credit.

It's still timely to ask for the fee waiver.
