so yea title kinda says it all

took 3 ap exams felt horrible and annoyed after them, i had a bad case of allergies, but thats kinda a poor excuse and yes i do blame myself .

chem-1
stat-3
gov-1

my question is are ap scores important for admission at berkely?

i got an A in chem and stat, and B in gov,

chem sat2-790, so its not like the class was a joke

Your chem scores puzzle me. In my experience, it’s much easier to get a 5 on an AP exam than it is to get an 800 on the corresponding SAT 2. For example, I had to study MUCH more to get an 800 on the chem SAT 2 than I did to get a 5 on AP Chem. I don’t understand how you got a 1 on the AP and a 790 on the SAT 2. Makes no sense.

But to answer your question, AP scores are not particularly important for Berkeley admissions. GPA/SATs/ECs are much more important. But they ARE a pretty good indicator of how successful you will be at Berkeley; most students with bad AP scores don’t do particularly well in the Berkeley equivalents.

yea i guess, it was because i felt horrible that day, but i tried cover it from others, but overall during the test, whole week in general, my body was very weak

sat2-had a great day

I think you’ll probably be fine then.

I understand. But from what I’ve gathered, AP scores don’t play a part in your admissions. I had asked some questions about it after I was admitted and that’s basically what they told me.

AP classes themselves matter more, in that they show a desire to take a more rigorous load in high school and suggest to admissions you would take more full use of the advantages of Cal than many other applicants, presuming you had the same drive towards rigor and workload while here.

thanks, yea i would have taken those days off, but i took some meds and felt better when i went in, but when i started the test, my mind was so gone :p

thats sort of what final exams feel like.
