Can you use either pencil or pen on free response or do you have to use pen?

Black or dark blue ink only on all the exams I have taken. Pencil for MC's of course.

The English one had to be in ink, as said above. Ohh goodness that wasn't a nice thing to read when I got the essay portion. (I'm a cross-out revisionist-arrow-drawing maniac on my in-class essays.) Let's hope my ap grader doesn't judge my essay on first impressions :P

Yeah, you can. I think it's a new rule.

PEN!! BLACK OR BLUE!!!
Cross out if you have to, that's not a problem.
These are the instructions on the answer book.

Pencil, liquid paper, erasing pencil or pen, other color pens are all very difficult to read. A tired reader may have trouble reading all your information properly.

They allow pencil on statistics.

they allow pencil on math based free-response. on essays/written portions, it is ink only.

Time for me to have 6 pencils sharpened.

Ok, I know this is a very weird and random question, but how much paper do they give you, and is it a hassle, and a time-waster, to ask for extra paper, halfway through the test?

I'm taking the Bio AP test monday and I have 4 free responses in 90 minutes. I like to skip 5-6 lines after each paragraph in case I have time to go back and add stuff, so I tend to use up a LOT of paper (tree killer - bad me).

From what I know, Bio gives us quite a bit of room under each FR.
