AP French Language

Due to a series of really, really crappy events, I will be taking an online version of AP French Language next year -- from the same provider that I took AP English Language with this year (with great results).

Here's the problem, though -- my four years of instruction in French have, so far, been taught by four different teachers, none of whom were particularly well-qualified. I'm worried for the AP exam, as I'm hoping to use it for placement in college. What's the best way to prepare over the summer? I already do a lot of reading in French (short stories, books, etc.), but what prep books would you reccomend?

Thanks!

The reading on the language exam is easy as pie, if you already do a lot of reading you're set.

Definitely study your grammar - the fill-ins are terrible. I didn't use a prep book for mine (our school textbook was advanced enough for that x_x), so I'll let someone else answer that for you.

if i got 750 on the sat 2 french, can i get a 5 for the ap test?

In your study, you should definitely emphasize listening, because that will be a large factor in the test, and it's something you can easily mess up on if you don't have a feel for the language.

So, you should watch French TV if you have access to any channels (or over the Internet) and, also, read some vocabulary books.

Ehh...I got a 4, and I got a 770 on the practice French w/o listening SAT II in the Collegeboard book.

Use Barron's for the fill-ins. If you have time, I would get "Une fois pour tout" for grammar--it's very thorough.
