My D will be a HS junior next year. The school will be offering AP French for the first time. She has the option of Honors French V or AP French next year; she transferred into the school and is a year ahead of her classmates in French. She is an A+ student in French, although her French IV is not the most rigorous class. There is a chance that they will not offer AP French the year she is a senior. So should she go ahead with AP next year, even if instruction might be so-so? Or stick with Honors French V and take the chance that she won't be able to study French as a senior?

I believe that AP French is the way to go.
