I have a dilemma about scheduling for next year. Because of stringent school requirements, I must choose between taking AP French or continuing in Symphony Orchestra.

Some Background:
I'm going to be a senior next year and I'm planning on applying to the University of Michigan, Wayne State (MedStart), Michigan State (Lyman Briggs), Harvard, U Penn, Brown, and Stanford.

Also, the AP french program at my school is not the greatest, with an average teacher and a class combined with those taking French 4. My school's symphony orchestra, on the other hand, is nationally renowned and has recorded and played with professionals. Also, if I drop out of it next year, I'll miss all the privileges that come with being a senior. However, I've also taken French for the last four years, so I don't know if it's wise to drop out of it now.

I like both subjects equally, so it mainly comes down to what looks better for colleges. Are any of the listed colleges strict about four years of foreign language? (I took French I in middle school, so I technically only have 3 years of french in high school.)

My courseload next year is tough, with 4 other AP classes (Bio, Calc BC, Eng. Lit., & Euro).

Thanks!
