AP French? Retake SAT?

My school has an average/bad french curriculum. I'm currently in French 5/AP, and I have to decide whether or not to take AP by friday. I took two AP classes sophomore year, and got two 5s. I'm currently taking APUSH and AP Chem and expect two 5s. The AP curve could make my salutorian (currently 3). I know I can get an A in AP French, but I'll fail the exam, or at best, get a 3. Should I take AP French and cancel my score if I do badly? How will admissions officers look at an AP class without an AP score?

My top four colleges are Williams, Bowdoin, Brown, and Yale. Currently, I have an SAT score of 2230 (730 CR, 730 M, 770 W). However, I got a 77 CR on PSAT, and most of my math scores on practice tests are 750-770. Should I retake? How much of a difference will a 2300 or 2310 make in comparison with a 2230? I mean, $86 for the SAT is quite a bit. And 5 hours is a lot of time.

Thanks!

Bump! I really need to decide soon.

Whoa! the SAT costs $86??? really??? I thought it was like 45. Each subject test is only 15…

Maybe it is $45. I just know that AP tests are $86 and my parents said my Jan. SAT cost around that.

Anyone have advice?

Are you a junior or senior? If you’re a senior, colleges won’t even see your AP scores except the one you get accepted it and that’s only if you want to try to get credit from them.

I’m a junior, so they would see on my transcript that I took AP French, but that I did not have the AP score.

Anyone? I really could use some advice.
