AP Gov in first semester with block system?

I just got my schedule today for next year (junior), but I ran into sort of a weird scheduling problem. My school runs on a block schedule, meaning we have 4 courses everyday for the first semester, and another completely different 4 courses second. Normally, APs are scheduled for the second semester, as to sustain memory and knowledge for the ensuing AP exam in May. However, I just got my schedule today, and I have one of my APs, AP Government, scheduled for the first semester. My schedule looks like this:

First Semester:
Honors PreCalc
French I
AP Government
Engineering Apps

Second Semester:
Honors Physics
AP English LangComp
AP Calc AB
AP Computer Sci

As you can see, AP Gov. is scheduled for my first semester, while weirdly Honors Physics is scheduled for the second. Should I request these classes be shifted? The worry I have is that it will run into a scheduling conflict.

If there is indeed a scheduling conflict, can anyone tell me if I'd be at a disadvantage with having AP Gov. in the first semester? Will those 5 months or so of no class time hurt me when the AP exam comes around?

If you can, switch it, if not it’s no big deal. The AP Gov test is not that hard, and much of it is common sense. If you have a textbook or a review book, it should help you enough to prepare you for the exam (on second thought the ap textbook is more helpful than a review book. Keep your old tests and quizes. A book by “Magleby” helps alot
