AP Gov

So I’ve signed up to take AP US Gov next year as a sophomore. I took AP Music Theory this year and aced it, but I’m a long-time musician and theory nerd. Does anyone have any advice on test-taking skills/concepts I’ll need to really focus on? Should I buy a book this summer to prepare? What should I expect, overall?

Thanks; I appreciate any help :D.

Be able to connect different concepts this summer. Buy the Barron’s flash cards for sure

The AP test isn’t that hard. You don’t really need any skills, it isn’t like AP English. Mostly it is about the basic structure and roles of each branch of government, history, and vocab

The class was a complete joke for me this year, but I feel pretty confident that I got a 4 without any prep except less than an hour the night before.
