AP Government

I really want to take AP US Gov. or the other AP Gov... but my school offers neither.

Are those tests possible to self-study? (Like would it be stupid of me to self-study those, because you really need a discussions class?)

And... Does your school have to know that you are taking an AP test? My school is private and I don't know if they (being my GC) will allow me to take the AP test without a course? (They've only let students do that for Enviro... and that was students who were in Honors Enviro. But now they have an AP Enviro class. =/)

OH.... and since my school does offer AP, Is it possible that they can order the AP Government exams specifically for me? (If they're willing) Or would I have to go to another school?

I’m doing this next year (anyone know what prep book(s) to read?). My counselor told me I have to inform her in September of which APs I’m going to self-study and they can order them just for me.

US Gov = easiest AP test… I recommend the Princeton Review book

AP Government is easy.
