I am an OOS high school senior attending the McCombs School of Business this fall. I'm currently deciding which AP tests I should take to earn credit. While researching, I noticed that UTAustin has a required Texas supplement to earn credit for GOV310L. (Exam Details Center for Teaching and Learning) Although the test is only 20 questions long, the recommended reading is a freaking huge textbook :S. I'm kind of concerned if its worth the time to take this test. Is it really difficult? Does anyone have any study advice for it?

Hey! I’m in the same boat as you, and from what my friends have told me, it’s ridiculously easy. Depending on your AP score, you only need to score a certain percentage to receive credit (for them it was maybe 5 questions?). Something like that. You can miss the majority of the questions and still earn credit.

I wouldn’t say it was an easy test, but it’s easy to get credit. I got a 4 on the AP US Gov Test. For the TX Gov test, I was only sure on 2 questions, but I still got credit immediately after taking it. I’m not sure if they even graded it… To study, all I did was print out & read the wikipedia article on Texas government. If you want to study more, I’d recommend: [Welcome to Texas Politics](http://texaspolitics.laits.utexas.edu/)

^ yea, sorry. I meant it’s easy to get credit.
