did anyone get less than 4s and 5s on their ap scores that got accepted?

ap scores arent for admission, they are for placement/credit w/e u call it
as far as i know

oh, really? that is great news.

i got a 3 on calc! (we didn't finish all the material. it was fun)

so pegdiver....
Im also probably going to get a three on my calc BC exam...should I say goodbye to Princeton?

from my understanding, he was accepted.

i have a 3 on the AP World History exam.

i have a 3 on the WHAP exam too. =P they didnt seem to care

I don't even think I sent my scores to Princeton, so...it doesn't really matter.

If it doesn't matter, why do elite colleges ask for AP scores? I don't think they need more paper. Let's face it...it is one of many factors. An A from hs x is hard to distinguish from an A from hs y. So they look at APs. I am not saying it is a major or overarching factor, but a stack of 5s has to help. As an admission director was once quoted about standardized test scores, they are used by a good adcom they way a drunk uses a light pole...for support, not illumination.

haha i like that wsox...I have also heard "Test scores count less than you think they do but more than you want them to."

i think they do like high AP scores and the more AP scores u have the better, but they dont count against u for having poor scores.

but obviously, AP scores arent required for admission because not all schools offer AP. of course, if ur school offers AP and u dont take advantage of it, then it will definitely hurt you and help u remain competitive by having high AP scores. but if ur school doesnt have APs they dont count it against u and u arent competing against those with AP scores.

besides they ask u not to send ur AP scores til freshmen year for placement

ozzie...this is reaaaaaalllyyy late. but hey, i'd say psh don't say goodbye to princeton.

and amnesia, i'm a she, not a he. but yes i'm an 09er

mmm....i think they might matter in one respect - probably not admission, but in a semi-important way for some people....i dno...you want to hear it? I ask because i realyl don't want to send ppl into a panic at this point.

that's reassuring for me. I just took APUSH..I hope I did ok...

AP's really don't matter. I got two 3's and a 4 on the ap tests that I put in my app.........
