Yay! My AP scores are--well, score is--up. So is my final transcript. But, where would my IB scores be?
On another note, the College of Engineering is retarded. I'm not a student in it (I'm in L&S), but I might transfer. Anyway, they give Math 1A and 1B credit for a 5 on AP Calc BC but no credit for IB Math HL. Luckily I took both (and got perfect scores on both). But, seriously, my IB Math HL (HL=high level) class was rather rigorous, and the curriculum easily encompasses BC's. And, it's not just a test--it's a whole class. I mean, the score incorporates extensive investigation reports that we had to submit to the IBO (IB Organization). Even my friend who was only in IB Math SL (SL=standard level), which doesn't even prepare you for AP Calc AB, took AP Calc BC and got a 5 without studying any extra material and he isn't extraordinarily clever, just as clever as the other smart people in my senior class of 700 students (in a public school in Houston). Also, they should give more recognition to the extremely broad curriculum of IB Chem HL, especially in the case of the Further Organic Chemistry option (taken along with the regular HL requirements in o-chem).
