This year I took quite a number of AP tests including AP Calculus and AP Lang. For Calc I got a three while for Ap Lang I got a five. This seems impossible considering I am way better in calculus than in english and studied more for Calculus. Plus the test for AP calc was much more easier to me than the Ap Lang.
Is it possible that the college board made a mistake when entering my grades and I actually deserved a five on calculus and a three on AP lang? This is important to me because I can only get credit for Calculus if I get a five and I dont think I can get credit for AP lang either way. Plus my grades were entered in alphabetical order based on the test name and calculus and english were right next to each other.
I was considering ordering a score report for my calculus test but Im not sure if it’s worth it. I just have a gut feeling but I need advice if I should even bother…
HELP PLEASE!
The odds of them transposing a score are so small, you should consider it zero.
You can ask for your MC section to be rescored for $30.

and you can ask for your FRQ booklet back for $10. However, your FRQ will have no notes from the readers and will not be regraded.

That said, I have never heard of a successful rescore of a 3+ .If you want to spend the money, go ahead, but don’t expect much. My advice - move on.
just my opinion but it might be worth a rescore in this case. My kid took the BC test (last year). He figured he was going to get a 4 but he got a 5. He knew he had done well on the MC part, pretty much close to or at 100%, but IIRC he said that he screwed up a lot of the FRQ. I recall him saying that he didn’t get even get to the last couple of pages of the FRQ because he ran out of time. So IMO the majority of the scoring weight is based off of the MC.
Therefore, if you got a 3, that probably means you didn’t do well on the MC, and if you feel that you aced that part, then there’s a discrepancy that might be worth looking into. Low odds, but for $30 if it will ease your mind I would do it.
AP Lang might have been heavily curved. My kid was astonished to get a 5, he thought for sure he was going to get a 4, maybe even a 3. Same goes for Eng Lit this year. APUSH and this year US Govt on the other hand, he thought he aced both of them and wound up getting 4s.
