AP guessing penalty

I have a quick question I'm taking 3 Ap's this year, and in some of the prep books it says that there is a guessing penalty, but my english teacher told me it wasn't true.
For the AP environmental science, english and U.s history i wanted to know if they deduct points for an incorrect answer?</p>
