AP Lit was in my first batch of APs, and it was totally fine. Of the three I took (Calc BC, US History, and Lit) Lit was by far the easiest. Take a look at the released AP Lit tests to get a feel for what the test looks like. I personally think the test was minimally easier than the AP Lang released exams, but I think it just depends on the person.

Both tests are very manageable.

from what I hear from my friends, everyone says that Lit is hell and Lang is so much easier.

I’ve only taken Lit, not Lang, but I think the general consensus is Lang is much easier, at least that’s what the consensus seems to be on CC. Lit isn’t bad, but appears to be harder than Lang.

Yes, the lit test was much harder for me.

Actually, at my school, Lang is harder than Lit. However, this is due to the fact that the Lang teacher is an English Nazi, and frequently loads her students with work. The Lit teacher does not do much work at all in his class. This is because in Lang, which is taken as a junior, the teacher teaches Lit and Lang with most students pulling off a four or five. With that said, we did do a lot in her class that prepared us for both tests. In my opinion, you should be fine taking Lit. It isn’t difficult at all.
