Aight im a rising junior and last year i took one AP class and its test. i have no idea how i did cuz i waiting for the score by mail. this year im taking 3 APs and their exams. what i want to do is become an AP National Scholar by the end of my junior year. I know i would have to take an additional 4 AP tests and ace them by self study. I heard AP Psyc. and APHG are easy. Can u guys list 4 AP subjects that are easy to do and self study.

its all a matter of opinion, but AP Environmental Science is a popular choice among self studiers

AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
AP Human Geography
AP Microeconomics
AP Macroeconomics
AP US Government
AP Comparative Government

thanks war chant! my options right now is AP Psyc., AP HG and AP Environmental Science. anyone else know out of the rest which ones are easier? im kinda leaning to Comparative but im not sure so im kinda depending on ur thoughts.

I self-studied bio, calc bc, psych, and stats. They're all relatively easy. Psych being the easiest (by far).

Seems like US Gov would be easier to remember everything than Comp Gov would.

Psych is DEFINITELY the easiest, I'd take that one for sure. Since you need four, I'd do Psych, Environmental Science [which is also supposed to be very simple], US Gov, and US History [because that and Gov could maybe enhance your ability to remember them, since they overlap a bit, being about the same country and all, lol].

AP Macroeonomics, Psychology, Environmental Science, English Literature.

I never self studied mine, but I can tell you which ones would be easily self-studied. Psych would be a good one to self study for sure. Micro and Macroeconomics are relatively easy as well. For our class, we just studied from Barron's AP the two month before the test. Like, that's how we learned *all *the material.

If I were you I would do Env Sci, Comp Gov, and both Econs. I self studied Comp Gov and Psych and easily got 5's. I'm kinda disappointed I didn't challenge myself more with harder APs (This year I'm self studying Chem and both Econs). Comp Gov is a great course. Psych was just too easy and too easily memorizable.

Thanks guys! U made it easier for me to choose. im going to take the AP Psych., AP Human Geography, AP Comp Govt, and AP Environmental Science this year. well im taking 3 AP classes this year (APUSH, AP English, and AP Spanish and im taking all their tests as well). the thing is, i want to be a national AP scholar by the end of my junior year and i want to take easy self study AP classes to help. then my senior year, Ill take the harder APs.

last thing guys. can u guys list prep books for classes im going to self study. i went to borders and didnt know which book to buy :(. thanks!

apush - AMSCO
psych - barrons
human geo - barrons
comp gov - ethel woods study guide
apes - Smarty pants
ap english - which test are you taking? If Lang buy Cliffs
spanish - no clue

In my case, I only plan on self studying for one. I have narrowed it down to Environmental Science (Not too thrilled about), Human Geography, or Comparative Gov't. I want one that I can study little and achieve a high score. I am already taking AP Psychology and US History and have already taken Euro.

I wouldn't suggest histories if you are not a history person. There's alot of memory work involved.
I took ap world online as a block class!! Barely made an A ( too many essays to write in one week) and I hope i made atleast a 4 on the exam. :\
It just depends on the person.

Alright...I am kinda a history person

Out of those subjects, which exam has the most generous curve?

I think people should figure out more of what the exams are before they go to self study for them. Ex: envi sci (i took this year) is only good for people (imo) that have a broad knowledge of general sciences - ecology and biology in particular. the amount of info on the test was amazingly broad compared to other AP classes ive been in.

also though, i'd like to self study for some more exams.

here's what ive taken:
micro: 5
macro: 5
eng lang: 4
APUSH: 5
US gov: 5
envi sci: 5

next year im taking classes in:
Calc AB
Psych
Eng lit
Euro

so those are off the table.

I was thinking self study for:
world hist
human geo
comp. gov/pol.

any comments on that guys? i'm kinda worried all of this will make me seem very one sided and not well rounded. haha. so many AP's in social sciences and 2 subject tests in history.
I honestly wish i could take an AP phsyics and do well (i love physics) but my schools science program SUCKS... so I have a pretty weak groundwork in the sciences.

it really depends on your interests. a science person would find it easy to self-study ap bio or ap chemistry while a history person would find it easy to self-study apush or ap euro

Psych and gov were the easiest (I've self-studied 5).

Good luck =].

comp. gov? and did you study with the ethel wood book?
i've already taken US gov and apush, and im already taking euro and psych

im bumping this to ask another question. well i took the AP WH test and got a 5. well i thought a lot of people at my school got 5s but no, i was 1 out of 3 people who got a 5 out of a total of 60+ kids who took the test in my school who are really smart and deserve that 5. Comparing CC, there are a lot of people here who got 5s. and those who self studied exams most say they got 5s or 4s. i just woke up to the reality of AP scores and like i said in the beggining, im taking 7 ap tests to get the national ap scholar. should i still go for it or not? i really want to be distinguishable for UCLA.
