AP HORRIBLE- Ivy League

So basically, I have taken two aps so far- Calc BC, and US History.

Will be taking Physics

BC- 5
US History- 4, or 3
Physics B- guessing that will be a 4, but I could be wrong- 5 or 3.

Let's say for all purposes I got a 5, 3, and 4 in that order as above, or a 5, 3, and 3.

I am a junior and these are the only ap classes I will have taken when I apply.

Will this hurt me a lot when applying to the Ivy Leagues?

Bottom Line- How much do the top colleges- Johns Hopkins and above- look at AP test scores.

I have a 4.0 uw gpa.

Thanks

Generally they dont look at them like SATs, but you self report and it looks good if you get a 5. I got 3 5’s and 1 4 and got into Penn ED so take that how you want.

AP test scores are a small issue on the large scale of things.

sorry to hijack your thread, but your comment about only having those ap classes when you apply made me wonder: So I’m also a junior, and this year I am taking two ap classes, the only two available for juniors. Senior year I’m taking double the amount, but when I apply in the fall, will colleges consider it as me having taken only 2 ap classes?

i think they consider what you took in terms of your school offerings…and as far as senior AP goes, they still see your grades and that you’re taking them so it can only help. I have the same thing at my school…jrs can only take AP Bio and AP US, but next year i’m taking 5 APs in school and considering pursuing one outside of school

MGMT_Fan,

first off, great name, I love the band.

Secondly, once again, sorry to hijack the threat, but, HOW IS PENN!?
