AP HuGe?

Is it that easy? It has no prerequisites, and it seems freshmen at different schools can take it. Should I ask my counselor to take it next year online? It would boost my GPA a lot. My sister took it as a junior and she didn't study and got a 98 and a 5 on the test. I've read people do good in the class but they don't study and get a 3. I'll study, and I hope to get a 4/5. I'm kind of unsure about it. Tell me your experiences with it and if it really is the easiest AP?

It is the easiest AP. Take it. But don’t expect credit from it.

I’m taking it as a freshman and it’s pretty easy, but what’s the point of taking it if you can take more meaningful APs? Most people take it because it’s the only AP they can take as a freshman. Wait, what grade are you in?

It’s easy

I’m a rising freshman, were allowed to take it but nobody knows.

we’re

For the most part, APHG is really easy. I know people who’ve cracked open a few review books and read them for a weekend, and scored a 4/5. Of course, these are my “genius” friends. I’m currently taking it now, and it’s honestly not too bad.

However, like @preamble1776 mentioned, you probably won’t receive credit for it. Few colleges even accept it; and if they do, it might have to be a 5. So it’s (kinda) a useless class. Unless you’re a freshman who desperately wants to take an AP course or a senior who’s looking for a nice, relaxing year.

Would you like to waste your time on an AP that most competitive admissions officers don’t even accept? Or would you rather do something you find interesting?

If you don’t find it interesting, don’t take it. I’d encourage everybody here to be a bit more optimistic, though! Taking any AP class, whether it is generally accepted for credit or not, will look good. Furthermore, it introduces a lot of concepts that will show up in future courses (high school and college) – economics, population statistics, culture & religion, etc. Maybe it’s just the way that Human Geo is taught at my school, but I found it far from worthless.
