I am debating on whether to take AP Human Geography as a sophomore. It would be my 4th AP, but two of the others are in math, my strong subject, so they will not be much of a problem. Reasons to take it include some practice essay writing, transitioning into tough junior and senior schedules, and a GPA boost. OTOH, I am not a social science person, the course will probably not get me college credit, and I am not sure if the course will be interesting. Does anyone have any suggestions or stories on whether or not they found the material engaging?

It’s the easiest AP and it may or may not be interesting depending on who you are. It’s okay for me but not my favorite class.

It’s ridiculously easy. It was basically an hour extra of sleep for me.

Some parts of it were interesting, and over all, it’s a pretty easy class. Even if not all colleges accept it, it’s still bound to look better than an honors or standard class.

Even if you don’t get credit for it, the AP will look good on your transcript. Also, despite it being the so-called easiest AP, it helped me in so many classes – government, economics, and believe it or not, statistics.
