AP human geography advice

I'm taking AP human geography next year. It will be one of my first APs. Will anyone give me advice on this course? Is it hard? What is the courseload like? Study advice/tips? Any advice will be strongly appreciated. Thank you.

In my class, the work was pretty straightforward. My teacher did power points, verbal lectures, and showed us countless of great videos. It’s not a hard class to learn. Enjoy it and have fun.

joke of a class

Easiest of the 9 APs I took. Very straightforward class.

I think in general it’s super mellow as far as APs go. My class watched more movies than anything else, took a ton of open-book tests, and played a game where we role-played different countries and got to decide whether we wanted to nuke our enemies. And then I read the entire Kaplan’s review book the night before and got a 5 on the test. I wouldn’t sweat the class-- try to enjoy it and learn.

It’s easy to grasp and all you have to do is study. My brother took this class and he had to know all the countries and capitals. I don’t know if that was important, but his teacher made them memorize all of that before actually going into the actual AP Human Geo topics.

If you get a teacher that is known for great videos then this class is going to be a blast. I saw so many videos in that class that have changed my outlook in the world. My teacher showed us Black Hawk Down and a Rwanda documentary. The whole class was in tears.

…I’m just reminiscing :] good times…good times

why does the college board keep this class if it’s so easy you could study it the night before and ace it?

It still educates people. Sure it may not be extremely difficult but it’s still valuable.
