I took the AP Hug exam in May as a freshman and was confident in my answers. My goal was a 4 but I was hoping for a 5 and felt as if a five was in my reach. I felt strongly about 2/3 of the frq questions and ok with one of them. I’m not too sure about my MC score but in previous practice tests I had received in the 48-50% range, which should give me at least a 3. I was very disappointed and confused when I received a 2. My friends had all received 4s and 5s and I feel as if I’ve worked too hard all year for a failing grade. Is it worth it to get a rescore? I know that it doesn’t have an impact on my college admissions but I had a B in my first semester and my teacher changes a B to an A if a student scores a 4 or 5 on the test, so I feel as if this is important. How common is it for College Board to make a mistake? I suspect that they may have forgotten to combine the two scores together. Thank you in advance.
It’s rare that a rescore will result in a change in score, but if you have the $30 to spend, go for it.
Yo bro, I felt the same! I thought I got a freaking 5 on the AP Human Geography exam and I had all A’s in the AP class itself. Yet I got a 3?! All my friends got 4’s and 5’s yet I got a 3. When we were practicing for the exam I could answer many more questions correctly than my other friends and my multiple choice score was a 60% on a practice exam I took. The FRQs on the exam weren’t even hard, I thought I did so well. Except for FRQ 1, I thought I got perfects on the other two. But what I think I did wrong was my sentence structure was very bad and I had a lot of stuff marked out so it would probably be hard for the readers to understand. Also, DO NOT GET THE REA AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY BOOK. I used the book and I regret it… That book is terrible, I looked at some of the definitions on the book and the real definitions that college board wants and they were moderately different. Princeton is the best for AP Human Geo.
