Toughie...scary 1st FRQ for our class (most of us hadn't even heard of those terms).

Dude i totally bs'ed those...can we discuss the FRQs yet?
Anyway i screwed up the 2nd one and a little of the third...

Hey Zachsta do you happen to know the score range of the test?

It changes every year...I think they try to make sure that about 20% gets 5's, 20% gets 4's, and so on. One of them was like 70/120 was a 5, so its probably a little tougher. Yeah, we can discuss the FRQs (I think) because they released them on apcentral.collegeboard.com (48 hours after the actual exam). But yeah, bombed the 1st one, did so-so on the second one, and I'm pretty confident on the third one. And the multiple choice was pretty tough. I sensed a 5 going into the exam, and am now thining like 3 or 4. Eh.

i think i'll get like a 3 or 4 also,
For the first one i put the European Union for supranatinonalism and for devolution i put the former yugoslavia (you could have also used the Soviet Union)

2nd one: I became an idiot and put Mexico and Latin America on the source area in the beginning of the 1900's...still kicking myself....thing was my teacher told me i could only use a pen, so by the time i wanted to put Europe, it was too late. the late 1900's did well on

3rd: sort of bs'ed urban policy....everything else: did ok

MC: think I got like 10 wrong...(also left 6 blank)

Skipped about 10 MC, but quite confident on rest..

For FR,
1st - Hopefully I owned this. Read the de Blij book, and this was discussed in it.
2nd - I think this was O.K.
3rd - Hmm.. maybe I missed the prompt? What was it talking about, haha? I wrote about factors pushing people back into the CBD. Is this right? If it's not, I bombed the essay.

For the third it was the revitilization of the CBD and the suburbs in the 1990's...

I put that urban policy like tax breaks from the government for revitilizing the place..and that's it Demographic composition: put that there are more elderly people (used example of Host Springs, Arkansas..i live in Little Rock) and said that they invested money for the revitilization process...
Sense of place- community investing to revitilize the CBD in Hot Springs,AR

Economic Factors- don't remember

im sorry for all the posting, but what did you guys put?
Also, will bad handwriting make the score go lower?

Alright! I think I did quite well on the 3rd essay then!

sr, which question? For handwriting, the readers will try to be lenient.. but bad handwriting surely isn't going to increase your score. If they're feeling kind of ****ed, they might just take a point off.

what did you put for the 3rd one and the 2nd

Definitely no marking down on handwriting...no need to worry...haha I crossed out my writing with pen so much....seriously like half of my paper is just scratched out writing.
1st one: BSed but somehow managed to mention the E.U., USSR, and Yugoslavia (even though I used them in the wrong way)
2nd one: Got everything pretty okay except for the early 20th century push factors I mentioned the Irish Potato Famine which occurred in like 1850s and 1860s-ish. Lol...
3rd one: Talked about gentrification and revitalization of the CBD through building like more sports arenas and venues.

so 70/120? I hope that is what it is b/c i might have a chance for a 4 or 5 ( or maybe i'm just kidding myself)

2nd -
first immigration from europeans. for opportunity and hunger problems.
second immigration: i combined mexican immigration and south asian migration. for a better standard of living and stuff.. just kinda BS it ;). like I wrote many asians came to help out their families.

3rd -
don't remember all the factors, but..
economic - real estate agencies can manipulate / transportion costs for jobs will lower
demographic (was this a factor?) - "blockbusting" and "racial steering" -- basically manipulating segerated trends
sense of place - i just talked about the nightlife/entertainment

.. what else was there?

urban policy...was the other one

how is the thing graded? like how much do you think all the Free response was worth?

75 MC + 45 FRQ? = 120?

No, cause the MC and FRQ are equally valued...you have to multiply each score by a constant like .8 or something....depending on the year...

urban policy - totally BS'd this, ugh.. i said like zoning laws might coerce housing to be pushed in.. to preserve farmland and stuff.

zoning laws would be perect for the question...dang i forgot to put that also...

Multiple Choice anyone? How did you guys do?
I left 6 blank
prolly got 12 wrong...
raw score = 54? ouch

I decided that 1/4 point didn't matter so I tried to answer as many as possible...only left 2 blank....but I think I missed a lot. 54 would be generous for me.

How many points were the essays?
