Okay today i just got the results and i tottttttalllyyy failed the test; i got a 3.
I'm a freshman, but I'm gonna be a sophomore in august since my school starts on the 12th. But I feel really disappointed with my score since Ap Human is supposedly THE EASIEST AP CLASS.

What are my chances of getting into a good college? Especially IVY LEAUGE. I heard that they don't even count Ap Human Geography; but still i want to aim high.

This year im going to take AP Euro which is worse! Im so nervous because I really need an A in that class i can't afford failing another ap test like this one :(

If you get 4’s and 5’s on everything else you’ll be fine. Colleges understand that it’s your first AP and you didn’t know what to expect. Besides, you self-report your scores so you could choose to leave it out if you wanted to.

A 3 is not optimal, but you certainly did not “totally fail it.” Depending on where you go, you may even still get college credit (many top public state schools accept a 3 on Human Geo.) I would not be so hard on yourself, especially since you took it as a Freshman, which is unusual. :)

Just reflect. Explore possible reasons why you got a 3 - which isn’t even that bad. Did you study enough? Did you comprehend the work? Did you do well in the class itself? If you can find out what might have not worked out as well as you hoped, like studying out of class or taking practice tests, then try those things.

You can always choose to not report the score, like rainbowrose said.

Well, it was your first AP test and you were only a freshman. I’m sure that you’ll grow a lot between now and next May. You can always retake it, too.

Your chances to get into Ivy League schools are now slim to none. Not because of your 3 in Human Geo, but because you slaughtered the spelling of ‘Ivy League’.

You will be fine. Do well on all of your other tests and aspects of your resume, and it will not hinder you - not even for the top colleges in the country. In fact, and this is of course, speculation - it could actually help you. In the sense that if you make a 3 on this yet make a 5 and occasional fours on all your other tests, it shows GROWTH - which is essential when colleges evaluate how you will do in the FUTURE when classes are much tougher.
