Are there any of you guys/gals that would be interested in an AP Human Geography study group chat or something? I am on chapter 3 (Population Geography) and thought that discussions may be beneficial to understanding and expounding upon the information. Although I am sure most of you guys are reading Barron's the night before the exam, right? ;)

A chat may not be viable for me, but I am certainly amenable to our e-mailing each other if one of us has questions. I'm self-studying with the Barron's guide, which I won't get until later this week (amazon.com is still shipping it), but after that I'd be happy to correspond with you whenever.

My e-mail address is guava_art AT yahoo DOT com.

The chat I had in mind would be some sort of web-based IRC (Internet Relay Chat) that you could easily open up in your browser in the same way you go to CC. If you can't do that, email is fine too.

You waited a little to get your book, eh? I just finished up Chapter 3 (Population Geography) last night. What are you going to do to grasp the material? I am just taking notes while I read. A lot of it is common sense, but some of the terms can be a little odd. Also, you learn the difference between "emigrate" and "immigrate" in Chapter 3. Before then, I had no clue what the difference was. ;)

i just read chapter 1, im doing in independent as well.

Would like to do a chat discussion of some of topics? How are you going about learning the material?

Yeah, I was a bit of a procrastinator, which I'm hoping I won't come to regret...

Anyway, I plan on taking notes once I get my book, and then reading through it once more before the exam.

My only concern about chat (for me) is that I have very odd hours and will probably be working on this sporadically, so I wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone. However, if more people do a chat, I'll just drop in when I can and ask questions then.

Thanks for setting this up, by the way! :-)

When I work on AP Human Geography work, it is very sporadic in nature as well. Most of the time I might work one weekday, then use a good chuck of Saturday and Sunday to study intensely. I would imagine that if I can gather more people for a discussion chat of the material, it would be on a weekend day, where all of us have more time.

Have there even been any previous MC exams released for this subject?

I believe there is a 2001 released exam, at least according to my Barron's book, it is available on CollegeBoard's website. Haven't checked it out, personally.
