What’s the general opinion on Rubenstein? And can I recommend Quizlet? Quizlet is my new best friend.
Alright everyone, the grind is exactly in one week! As of now, I have been reviewing using PR, Barron’s, the Rubenstein textbook, Quizlet, and other online sources. For the most part, I feel comfortable with the material and mc questions. However, the FRQ’s are giving me trouble. I hope that the FRQ’s are going to be comparably similar regarding difficulty to the 2015 FRQ’s as they were a joke. Any advice when approaching an FRQ that you have no clue about? Thanks.
I actually haven’t even started studying yet. I have to study for AP Lang, AP Latin, and Human Geo. So I really have to cram. Is it enough to just read PR? Or should I be doing much more?
anyone else furiously cramming for this test
Nah m8 I got 5s on both PR practices and don’t feel like stressing myself out
@ikhan4 I’m guessing you started studying by now but if you didn’t, I know a lot of people who didn’t study at all and got 3s and 4s. So you’ll probably be ok
any ideas on what the topics are gonna be? just hunches know nobody knows for sure
I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY THAT I HAVE IN NO WAY SEEN OR HEARD ABOUT SPECIFIC FRQ TOPICS
Idk probably a culture FRQ because it’s been a few years
Okay so i actually feel okay about the FRQs but recently i took a practice test and i think i can do better so I’m studying all day today (I find i do better studying just before) any good resources you can recommend?

Use my comment above two comments.
Just a spot of advice:
Kosovo can be used for most FRQs. If it’s got language, ethnic conflict, culture, boundaries, etc., it’ll probably apply. HOWEVER on most FRQ rubrics I’ve seen, it is not mentioned, so you’d probably make your exam reader mad bc they’d have to see if it’s an acceptable answer A LOT.
Just took the test, and it was probably the easiest test I took this year. There were a couple of MCs that were a bit tough, but the curve is pretty generous. FRQs were really easy. None of the prompts asked anything too obscure, and you could’ve answered in a it of different ways for a lot of them. I feel like I probably got a 5
I agree with the previous comment. The test seemed pretty straightforward. Although there were a couple multiple choice questions that threw me off (really random definitions we never covered), for the most part it was simple. I actually liked the FRQs because they were open enough that you had TONS of examples to bring in. Definitely my easiest test this year.
Not that bad. You couldn’t really use Kosovo, though
When do they release the scoring guidelines for the frqs? I heard it’s in late July, but does anyone have anything more specific than that?
Late July/Early August is as specific as you’ll get at this point.
Thanks, is it kinda like 2 weeks after we receive our scores?
