AP in Freshman year

Psych and Human Geo are both pretty easy. I wouldn’t say that this is such a tough course load. “Perfect” for a freshman. All you really need for psych is barrons, same for geography.

My school MAKES you take at least one AP as a freshman. I guess I’m lucky :]

Kivanovasweet, thanks so much. you are the only one who actually gives me positive feelings about my plan. Sure i will use 1 or 2 weeks in school to get used to the “tough” environment and then see if can can still handle the other aps. It’s actually 2 aps i need to selfstudy, ap chinese was so easy - i got a perfect on a practice test i got from my high school’s chinese teacher. I have also started to prepare 2 hours a day for HG as well. so i will keep on and see where it goes.

“you are the only one who actually gives me positive feelings about my plan”

It actually took me a while to write all that and I just had freshman year. My post was not negative thank you. You ask me what my opinion is and then don’t like what I say. I just had freshman year, I think I would know. Also, some people thought Human Geo was easy and others thought it was hard. It depends on the person and please don’t ask questions if you only want positive feelings. I was trying to help you with my own time and you can care less. I think you should start out with only 1 AP and I will tell you in my school that is all you can do freshman year. I would go to your guidance counselor, because they will tell you the same thing.

I took Human Geo as a fish (I am now a sophomore.)
Don’t overload yourself! Overload yourself in senior year, will be a lot easier.

I agree with girlrock, but I’ve always heard Junior year is the hardest and Senior year should be the easiest.

Use Barron’s for human and psych. I took AP Human as a freshman, ****ed around all year, memorized Barron’s two weeks before the exam, and got a 4. (One of the essays used a term that wasn’t in Barron’s nor my textbook, and I skipped it like everyone else in the school.)

from what i’m reading right now, i think you just want to hear people agree with your decision of taking those APs.

Well, i will read all opinions and keep a note of them.
And they definitely have an impact on my decision.
The negative comments help me to remind myself that i will need to work very hard because the aps might not be as easy as i expected.
But efforts can change everything, i dearly believe.

It is different for each person, some may think one AP is hard and others may think 3 is not. It is what you think you can handle, but let me tell you most freshman do more than they actually can do.
