AP International Diploma?

I live in Melbourne, Australia and I go to an IB school so I am currently in the IB diploma program. Already A LOT of work but I am considering self studying for 5 APs. Specifically I'm looking at French-my school only offers Ab Initio in the IB and I want to show college admissions my actual french level as I want on exchange there for three months and I am looking to study international relations, also I'm taking French as a subject test on SAT so one should help the other? Environmental Science because I do Environmental Systems and societies in IB and it seems to be a lot of the same stuff, would I have to study much more for it? Chem- I do HL chem so I'm guessing I won't have to do too much extra? I'm also taking SAT chem subject test. English lit-I do HL English Lit, how much extra work? And Comparative gov. because I want to do international relations. Aside from the extra college credit, would having an AP International Diploma as well as an International Baccalaureate Diploma really make me stand out to college admissions? I want to go to a top school, hopefully Columbia or Georgetown, Pomona or Brown and I want to give myself the best chance. Also would the fact that I took the initiative to self study courses that would benefit my major but were not offered at my school look good on an app?
