I'm currently a junior and I have been learning Japanese for 2 years now on my own. I take Chinese at school (I am year 3 now), and am planning on taking the AP Chinese test. I was also thinking of taking the AP Japanese test, but since Japanese isn't offered at my school, I have been studying myself using the textbook Genki. I want to take Japanese 3 and AP Japanese online. Is there any online school that I could take these classes with. Thanks!

Hello,
I was looking for online AP courses too and I found those that have Japanese and Chinese:
- This is a website of AP Japanese: [The Unofficial AP* Japanese Website | The Unofficial AP* Japanese Website](http://www.apjapanese.net/home/welcome-to-the-unofficial-ap-japanese-website/)
- This is from College Board about Japanese: [AP Central - AP Japanese Language and Culture Course Home Page](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>AP Japanese Language and Culture Course – AP Central)
- This is from College Board about Chinese:
[AP Central - AP Chinese Language and Culture Course Home Page](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>AP Chinese Language and Culture Course – AP Central | College Board) - This is EPGY (Education Program for Gifted Youth) AP of Chinese: [Stanford University EPGY Online High School](http://epgy.stanford.edu/ohs/divisions/foreignlang.html)
I am still looking for more AP websites, so if I find more I’ll post to you.
I hope this helps you,
Good Luck!

These help for studying, but does anyone know of a place that you can take AP Japanese and get credit for it at your school? (The Stanford EPGY School only has Chinese and Latin)

Check with Tracie at [Japanese language lessons home page](http://site.my-nihongo-lessons.com/Home.html). She teaches high school students via Skype, and also teaches in-person classes at two universities. She said most high schools will offer credit for her class, and her students have done well on the AP test. We are checking into this as well.

Brigham Young University has online high school and college level Japanese courses.
We are considering them since they are accredited and credit will probably transfer.
Third Year Japanese is offered under their college level courses.
