Does the number of AP's one takes justify a low gpa...for example, 12 AP's (Physics B, Physics C, Bio, Chem, Calc BC, Macro, Lit, Language, Spanish, US, Psych, Stat) and a meager 3.63 GPA? Tell me what you guys think.

there are kids in my school that took like 11-12APs total with 4.5/5 GPAs
i donno man

no offense, but to answer your question, not really. i mean i'm sure you're a great applicant and you have a good shot of getting in, but in the grand scheme of things, top schools want top gpas in the most rigorous courseload possible. i mean yea they'll take into account that you're taking the absolute hardest courseload possible but it doesn't necessarily justify a certain gpa. it's not like you have Fs.... don't worry about it, it's unchangeable. just focus on the things that you can now control, like essays et cetera. everyone always says that supposedly essays trump everything. good luck dude

thanks i appreciate the replies
