AP Lang Multiple Choice

What is the best way to study for the AP Lang multiple choice? I've tried a couple of practice tests and I find the multiple choice for AP Lang much harder than the Critical Reading sections in the SAT... Do you use any tactics or strategies that allow you to score better on this portion?

I’m also taking the AP Language test so tips would be helpful.

I don’t even plan to study =)

I don’t plan to study either…just because I don’t see how you can really study for English…

Take the practice MC out of CliffsAP for AP English Language and Composition. It helps a lot.

really? my teacher told us that Cliffs was really bad for AP Lang…

I also find it hard. But what I would do is study some rhetorical vocab words like metaphors, hyperboles, etc. And take a lot of practice test to get use to what you’re going to be asked. My strategy is to not read the questions/answers first. That way I can have my own opinions about something instead of being forced to have this or that thought when reading. Also, I write down a short memo on the margins of each paragraph of what they’re about. Other than that I really have no clue; you either understand the passage or you don’t. Good Luck!

Cliff is pretty much bad for almost every subject, but for AP English Language, the MC is somewhat similar, like many here on this forum said.

I’d like to know the same. By the way, does anybody have any ideas of what review book would be the most helpful?
