I’m currently taking standard english this year as a sophmore, and wanted to take AP lang next year because taking all honor/ap courses junior year is something I want to do. The sophmore english teacher also teaches lang next year and she doesn’t differentiate her standard and honor classes that much - our essay topics are practically the same. I’ve heard the english aps are very hard or easy depending on the person. I do well on the essays and I know a big part of lang is the writing so should I try lang next year or move to honors?
-english isn’t my strongest subject compared to others but i’ve maintained a high A in my class all year
Like you said, it really does depend on the person. I think the class difficulty also varies greatly, depending on the teacher and school, but I feel that in your case, AP lang shouldnt be too bad. PM me if you have more questions!
