AP Languages self study?

Okay so hi I’m a senior who’s interested in studying latin as a language. So, I’ve posted a lot of self study questions before, often out of curiosity and not because I’m 100% going to pursue it.

However, I am taking 4 AP courses, and I will take the exams for all of them. I also am self studying AP Spanish Lang and Lit because I’m a native speaker and I feel like I have enough resources to self study them. However, I need some source recommendations for AP Spanish Lit because no one in my high school teaches that course. Also, would it be a bad idea to use any IB Spanish books to prep for the Lang exam as well as an AP workbook?

Latin is a subject that has always intrigued me, I’m even a member of the Latin Club ( 3rd year member) at my school, even if I don’t take the AP exam it is a course I want to take in college. So, my question is, should I try self studying Latin for the AP/ SAT Subject test this year or should I just wait to take the course in college? My reasoning for taking it other than interest would be as a self assessment on my progress after my 9 months of studying the language.

Gracias  sorry if that was a lot at once, I hope my questions were cohesive this time as I typically have to re-explain them to people lol.

There really is no shortcut on this one, other than reading the material on the syllabus.

Although if you’re taking AP English Literature, the skills you learn to analyze lit are not specific to a particular language.

Personally, I would just take it in college if you’re so inclined, but if you have the money to burn and the time to do it, I guess it’s fine. Just know that no AO is going to be impressed with a self study, particularly as the exams are after admissions decisions. But otherwise, go for it if you want.

Your first priority should be doing well on your HS courses and doing well on the AP exams. The AP exams are for you…they may let you place out/get credit for college classes.
I would wait to take the course in college…spend your senior having fun with your friends second semester. By then you will be admittted to college. If you did take the AP test and did well, you woudl be placed in a harder class in college. I would think it better to be in an easier one so you can build your foundation and do well.
