Hey AP Lit students! What is the grade score cutoffs for 1 to 5? what are the percentages?

Come on! Someone MUST know!

Does anyone know?

The curve can be different every year, and I'm sure it will be this year. I have a sheet from the 2000 one I think, If I can find it, I'll share.

i'm curious, too.

I'd really like to know as well. I think I got a 6 on the first essay a 7 or 8 on the second essay and a 4 or 5 on the free response. I am really hoping that I still did good enough for a 4 on the exam. I'm really worried...

my teacher said you get about a 50% on the MC (counting the penalties) and 5's on all your essays to get a 3.

I will need all the help I can get on this exam.

My teacher said if you get 29 MC correct and 6's on all of the essay's that you should have a guranteed three.

108-150 is a 5
92-107 is a 4
according to the 1994 official released exam.

How many MC were there again?

I think there were 55.

Do they really have set numbers on all this? I thought it was a case-by-case basis for each year, depending on the number of students who took it, etc.

The total score is out of 120, I think it's (MC * 1.2) = 66, then 9 points per essay (27), times three (54), so 66 + 54 = 120. I don't know the scale for the scoring though.

I believe the multipliers are always the same. They are hidden somewhere in that massive AP Lit thread here. But the actual range of what is a 1,2,3,4,5 can change each year, and probably will change this year because of the nature of this year's test.

English
108 150
93 107
72 92
43 71
0 42

That's Barron's scale. Of course it changes for each year.

Score calculation for this year.
(MC adjusted) * 1.22727 + (Essay1 + Essay2 + Essay3) * 3.0556

According to a Cliff Notes 2001 Review Book
100-150 5
86-99 4

yeah, i know the scale changes every year. i just wanted to have an idea of what it's been in the past since i was completely clueless. thanks guys.
