Hello, I am currently a freshman student taking economics. I am considering taking AP macro and microeconomics (semester courses) next year. The only other two APs I would be taking that same year would be AP chem and AP calc AB. Could anyone tell me what AP macro and microeconomics is like, and if I should prepare for them in any way? Thanks in advance.
I’m a sophomore currently finishing up an AP econ (macro/micro) course. I had no economics experience prior to this class but haven’t found the I information too challenging (it still has taken a lot of effort to get As). That said, it actually has been my favorite class so far in high school. Most of information is either memorization or the application of general topics to graphs. I’d definitely recommend that you look into purchasing an The Economist subscription to keep up with current events pertaining to econ. Reading about it this summer before starting the class will make everything more interesting because the concepts will seem very applicable to the real world.
Cool! Thanks for all the detailed info.
