AP Macroeconomics- difficulty level???

I am contemplating on whether to take AP Macroeconomics this year or not. My school does not offer it face-to-face, so I will have to take it online. Honestly, I do not want anything too time consuming because it is my senior year and I have lots of college prep on my mind too. I am already taking 4 AP classes for sure: AP Chem, AP Lit, AP Gov, & AP Stats.

So… how hard would you say macroeconomics is? I know this is a bit of a subjective question, but I would really like some input from someone who has taken the class before and/or knows someone who has taken it. I have taken AP Calculus, but I am not too interested in math, and I heard that there is a lot of interpretation of graphs. I am, however, fairly interested in government.

As you say, it’s a subjective question, and depends a lot on the teacher. On a 1-10 scale, I’d say 3-4 - probably on the level of AP Gov and AP Stats.

In my experience, I struggled with it. It was mostly because my teacher was really bad. Although I did get a tutor (she just got her BA in Economics from Northwestern) which helped me a lot. If you are fairly quick and efficient at interpreting concepts on your own, you should be fine. If not, it may not be the best class to take online.
