AP Macroeconomics

I was thinking of self-studying economics this year. Since I'm just beginning now, I obviously won't have enough time to take both micro and macroeconomics exams. Do you think between now and the date of the AP test is enough time to learn macroeconomics and do well (4, preferably 5) on the AP test? Is learning and taking both definitely out of the question in your opinions?

bumppppppp

You should be fine. Just make sure to go over the majority of the vocabulary.

Definitely. Macroeconomics is usually only a one-semester class, so you should have ample time to study if you remain focused.

I was going to take both, since I’ve already read through the Barrons book for both subjects over the summer and fall seasons. But then I considered the workload with respect to my other AP exams, and deemed it unnecessarily taxing. So I’m not going to do it. However, if you think you can sufficiently learn both subjects without burning yourself out, go for it. It’s definitely not impossible to finish both subjects by May.

Thanks for the responses. I don’t think I’d have to time to do both on top of my other APs and a math class I’m taking this semester at SBU. I just picked up the PR book from my local Borders, do you think that’s enough or should I also get a textbook? I also bought the Barron’s economics book as well if that’s the one you’re referring to Aeroengineer?

Oh and also do those of you who have the course offered in your school take both micro and macro tests and the end of the year?
