Hey everyone. My schools requires I take AP Microecon before I take AP Macroecon. However, I am a junior and I'm not enrolled in AP Micro so I was wondering if I could possible take AP Microeconomics over the summer (not individualized study) and then take AP Macroeconomics my senior year. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Having taken the courses and corresponding AP exams in my junior year and scoring 5’s on both, I recommend you self-study for the exams. When I took these tests, I went through those in a breeze and thought those were the easiest tests I had taken in a while. The AP economics courses are actually the easiest self-study courses, followed by AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, and AP Psychology.

I recommend you buy the book called 5 Steps to a 5. Also, on the collegeboard website, you can get past FRQs and multiple choice tests for practice.

Well I want to take the class cuz I want 1)to learn it 2) for colleges to see my interest in business 3)I want to take AP Macro
So I’m probably not even taking the test for it.
And my school wouldn’t recognize self-study as a prereq for AP Macro.
