AP Microeconomics Before AP Macroeconomics... Or and Econ class at all???

I really want to take an economics class in high school. During sophomore year, usually most kids take Econ and civics (2 different classes) but I decided to take AP Gov which fulfills that requirement for graduation. However, I want to take an AP Econ class in my high school career. My concern is that my school doesn’t offer AP Macro, only AP Micro. Could I take Micro before Macro, or is that too difficult?

It doesn’t really matter the order. Macro is the study of the entire economy as a whole, while micro is the study of one economic system (such as a business).

@TheSlacker16 thanks! Have you taken either?

Take them in any order you like; one is not appreciably more difficult than the other, and neither requires knowledge of the other.

@skieurope thanks! People at school were saying macroeconomics was very important to build micro off of, but I see that’s not the case!

I’m taking macro this year (dual credit college course) but I’ve taken a microeconomics course for a semester as part of my US History 2/Economics class last year. It was pretty easy, but there were a lot of terms to remember and we given investing opportunities (see:[here](http://www.investopedia.com/simulator/)) and given a project to create a company and present it to a group of investors (our classmates), Shark Tank style. It was a great class (USH was forgotten after the midterm) and I can’t wait for Macro!
