I dunno. I heard there's sightsinging on the exam, and I can hear the pitches perfectly and sing the right pitches, but my singing voice doesn't sound good either. do they take points off for having a bad voice even if you sing the right notes?

They don't take off points for the quality of your singing voice. In fact, they value rythm slightly over pitch. If you can keep a steady beat, nail the rythm and get most of the pitches, you're set.

BTW sight singing was reallly easy this year.

^yeah it was
sure, take it only if you have a pretty solid theory background. i personally have taken 8 years of theory already so the nonaural part i basically already knew...(i got a 5)
in my class, the teacher basically went over theory really quickly, so the people who never had theory bkground got totally lost & basically like struggled thru the course
and yeah, they dont grade on quality of voice--they grade on pitch, and rhythm...
anyway, the test is ridiculously hard, imo...but idk, i got a 5...idk how the hell that happened
so don't be too sad after taking the test...i guess the curve is high

btw, i didn't do any prep. our teacher did one practice test with us. he made us practice sight singing a few times, and he stressed 4 part writing.

We used Elementary Harmony by Ottman, which I thought was fairly good. The test is somewhat crazy, but I really enjoyed taking the course - once you get through the really basic stuff, it gets really interesting. Good luck!
Oh, and here is a website I found helpful for practicing some of the aural stuff:
