AP or College Class?

Hey everyone, I've been talking with my guidance counselor about my classes next year and I want someone else's opinion too. I'm beginning to become interested in economics and I have the option of either taking AP econ (both macro and micro) or taking the same topics at a local LAC. I don't entirely want to take the AP just because the teacher will dumb it down to the level of a third grader for everyone else, so I'm just worried it would bore me and make economics less interesting. As of right now, my schedule looks something like this:

-Calculus (basically AP, but it's CAPP or something similar to that)
-American Politics and Policies (required; one semester)
-Communications 111/ College Writing (1st/2nd semesters)
-AP Physics
-AP Spanish
-AP Psychology; if I want to take it, but I could just self study

And then:
-AP Economics or Macro/Micro Economics 111/112

What's your opinion? I want to know, please and thank you.
