Ap or Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment

I am a junior in high school (going in medical feild). I need opinions about what classes to take. The first option would be to take Ap Calc at my school. The second option is taking College Algebra/Prob and Stats and Western Civ at my local tech school. What option would be best for when I go to college?

Are the classes at the tech school 3 different classes or 2? Would any of those classes give you college credit like AP calc might?

The classes at the tech school are semester classes. So I would take College Algebra the first semester then Prob/Stats the second. Western Civ is all year. You can get college credit for these classes.

If you have the prerequisites for AP Calculus, you don’t need to take College Algebra. College Algebra is taken before calculus, and I think it’s along the lines of Algebra II/pre-calculus.

So it would be better if I took Ap Calc this year? And saved the money it would take to pay for the Dual Credit classes?

Why don’t you take AP calc and western civ if the credits transfer to your college of choice?

Definitely calc. Dual enrollment doesn’t look any better and you’re more likely to get the ap calc credit to transfer, provided you do well on the exam.
