I'm in grade 10 at a Canadian high school. I've lived in the States until grade 8 and I've always wanted to go to Princeton. The school I'm at now is actually ranked number one in Ontario, for public high schools. But the thing is we have NO aps or ibs. Not even advanced courses... just c (college), m (mixed so college/university), and u (university). Also, my school has no experiences with students going to the States for university let alone ivy leave... I'm worried this will decrease my chances in getting into Princeton. Next year, I would be doing a few ap's by myself (self study). I would be taking all u courses but even that is not rigorous for me. So I was looking for ap or ib schools and I found an ib school near me. I know it's a really challenging program, much more challenging than ap... So I was wondering if i should stay at my school and do ap's by myself with no help whatsoever, or switch schools for my junior and senior year and do the ib program there?
