AP Overload?

Hey guys! Long time reader, but my first post!

So heres the rundown:
I'm currently a sophomore and this summer I'm moving from Wisconsin to Georgia. Both my counselor up here and my counselor down there agree that I'm going to be way far ahead of Georgia student's learning curve. As such they and just about every of my teacher has recommended taking AP classes. So as I started to look more into what courses I would take this is what my class selection looks like now:
AP American Lit/ Composition
AP USH
AP Comparative Gov. & Pol.
AP Chem
AP World History
And either AP Am Gov or Economics
And Accelerated Math III (Equiv. to Alg 2/ Trig)

Do you guys think that this is too heavy of a course load? Do you think at this point it would be smarter to take advantage of Dual Enrollment, which my school offers?

Thanks for any input! :)

I don’t see any foreign language. Is there a reason? I’d probably drop one of the Government courses - you’re already taking US and World History and one Gov/Pol., so another Government doesn’t seem balanced. How about art, music, theater, etc? Or, like I mentioned, a language?
Starting a new school, you’ll also want to leave some time for socializing. Seriously, it’s important. Is the Dual Enrollment with a CC? I wouldn’t.

I took Spanish II last year and then began Spanish III this year but quit… I’m concerned if I did Spanish 3 this year I’ll have forgotten too much from 2 and 1. Any recommendation on that? Government and history is my real strong suit that’s why there’s so many. I’m not concerned about socialization I’ve got that area pretty much covered haha. Thanks for your reply :)

And yes the dual enrollment option is with college and HS credit.

that looks like an overload of government/history classes. I would check for a few possible colleges to see if 2 years of a foreign language is enough, I think it is but make sure. If not I bet you could refresh yourself on spanish quickly. I would take Econ over Am. Gov, but that’s just me, I like math and science so your schedule would kill me. It looks super hard too, but this is CC…

Also, no gym requirement? any other required junior-level classes?

It’s going to be a hard year, but, I think your schedule would be manageable. I mean, I hope it is, otherwise that would mean mine WOULD be impossible. If you love history as much as your schedule indicates-go for it! Worst comes to worst you can always drop one AP class to an honors.
