Ap physics 1 vs Honors physics

Hi, I am a junior in high school who needs to work on a senior schedule for next year. I have one class slot open which I intend to fill up, and I am considering physics. For science courses, I have taken honors biology and chemistry and ap bio and for math courses, I took alg, geometry, alg 2/trig and intend to take pre calculus next year. I am very good at math and i can look for a challenge. In college I’m going into pre med, which means ap credits won’t matter, but I want another college level science course. I am wondering if I am going to struggle in Ap physics and whether or not I’m better off in honors physics.

AP Physics 1 will assume no prior knowledge of physics, so you should be fine.

Is that so? You may be right, I heard many high schools are dropping honors physics altogether, I keep hearing many different opinions however, some people say I’ll just fail ap physics w/o honors physics experience.

As this is the first year that AP Physics 1 is offered, I have no clue how “some people” can possibly make that claim.
