AP Physics and AP Stats?

Do colleges place more emphasis on AP physics than AP Stats? At my school, AP Physics is much more harder than AP Stats.

yeah I would assume so since the material is harder. Some dont give credit for Physics B (w/out calc) tho

AP Physics is harder than AP Stats. I have never heard of either being looked down upon by adcoms, however. The two AP courses that are apparently held in relatively low esteem are AP Studio Art and AP Environmental Science.

AP Physics comes in two flavors. AP Physics B is a survey course intended for everybody. AP Physics C covers only Classical Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism, but in more detail. Sometimes only the first half of AP Physics C, Mechanics, is covered.

absolutely....ap stats is one of the so-called 'ap lites' -- it's typically a semester course in college. Physics B is nearly a year's worth.

According to one author and former adcom, the "strong" ap courses are: Lit, Euro, Calc, Physics, & Chem.

Physics B requires TONS of memorization...Physics C, u need to be able to do calc.

why euro, not world or us?

Ap Physics is known to be the hardest AP at my school, whereas Stats is pinned as an easy AP. yeah.. i don't know about college though

Bio AP is pretty strong too

physics is probably one of the hardest... i say chem is still the toughest X.x

"i say chem is still the toughest"

-i concur...especially since we only had it for a single period last year wheras other schools (for the most part) have it for double

or maybe i am misinformed
