Reposting this from the self-studying thread because I didn't get a respons...

So i'm taking AP Psych, AP American and AP Art History at my school next year. I took AP Biology and AP European History this year, and I self-studied for AP Environmental Science (and I can almost guarantee that I passed that), this year.

I am considering self-studying for AP Human Geography and AP Macroeconomics.

Senior year I'm taking (most likely) AP US Government, AP English Language and Composition, and AP English Literature, and AP Physics C. I am also going to self study AP Comparative Government and AP Microeconomics.

I have a few questions....

In what order should I do the economics? Macroeconomics then Microeconomics? Or vice-versa?

I'm taking Honors Physics next year in preparation for AP Physics C senior year. I was wondering, if, in conjunction with the class, would it be possible to also self-study for AP Physics B next year?

^There has always been some mixed reviews for the Micro/Macro order. I’m self studying both this year (eh why don’t you?) but it seems that some of the micro concepts overlap into macro, fwiw.

I’m in physics B at my school right now and from what I hear, it is a world different than Advanced Physics. I did not take physisc before physics B, though.

I’m not taking AP Macro or Micro but I’m taking community college classes for both and I’d say Macro lays the groundwork for Micro not vice-versa. The same concepts in Macro are really prevalent in Micro and really helpful in understanding Micro but Micro concepts of production costs, elasticity, labor structure etc don’t really come into play in Macro.

Here is some material that I think would be needed for macro and micro economics exams.

In my opinion Micro “flows better” from the general chapters about supply and demand, so I would do Micro before Macro. However it really doesn’t matter. Teachers alternate the order and it doesn’t affect scores.
