Im going to be a senior in the fall, and I was wondering if taking AP Physics, AP statistics, and Pre-calc is a good idea? Would AP physics be hard as AP Chem if not harder? I would like to pursue in engineering field. Also, Im considering AP Computer science, but have no programming backgrounds, how should I approach this? Thank you!
It depends on what your school offers. If you’re applying to engineering, the highest level of calculus you can take will be recommended. If that’s pre-calc, then having AP stats is probably a good complement. They look more closely at grades and level of rigor for Engineering applicants in calculus, chemistry, and physics.
How difficult would taking AP physics and stats at the same time be?
It really depends on the student. Also, which AP Physics are you talking about? Some may have Calculus as a pre-req, or requires taking Calculus at the same time. My D took AP Calc BC and AP Physics C at the same time.
