AP physics as a sophomore?

D2 is currently a freshman taking honors physics (HS does science backwards from most--physics, then chem, then bio). A number of sophomores take AP Chem, but it's brutal--they take a 3 week prep over the summer and work their butts off to get B's. D1 was not ready for an AP sophomore year and took honors Chem, but the class was a joke because all the bright kids were taking the AP! They are now offering the option of AP physics sophomore year. D2 will have just taken a year of it (albeit at 9th grade level) and will be taking precalc the same year. Does this seem like a better idea than the chemistry?

is it C or B? If it is B, I would say by all means do it. It is C, I would advice holding off for a year if possible since it is calc-based (at least here it is)

Looking at the school website it seems to be B, AND taught by the (so far) impressive teacher she has this year.
